Clinical Workshop
During this 1-day training for those who have completed the ADOS-2 Introductory Training (Modules 1–4), participants will view two ADOS-2 video administrations and practice scoring results with support from a certified ADOS-2 trainer.

*See prerequisite details below.
Prerequisites

Prior completion of ADOS-2 Clinical Workshop is required. To maximize the value of this training experience, it is recommended that learners have completed the ADOS-2 Clinical Workshop within the past five years.

Course Description

This training is designed for individuals who have already completed the ADOS-2 Introductory Training (Modules 1–4), who are interested in further scoring practice and review. During this 1-day training, two full-length ADOS-2 video administrations will be shown. Participants will be given the opportunity to score and discuss results with the support of a certified trainer.

Learning Objectives
  • Refine understanding of ADOS-2 standardized administration and scoring procedures;
  • Describe how the ADOS-2 can be appropriately incorporated into diagnostic assessment of autism spectrum disorders;
  • Demonstrate understanding of responsible interpretation and reporting of ADOS-2 results;
  • Understand the validity and reliability of the measure and limitations for responsible use; and
  • Understand how to adapt administration procedures for certain populations/special circumstances and identify situations in which ADOS-2 results cannot be considered valid.
Participants

The ADOS-2 Refresher Course builds on the training offered in the ADOS-2 Clinical Workshop, the completion of which is required prior to enrollment. This workshop is designed for both clinicians and researchers. Physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists will be better prepared to make educational placement decisions and evaluate programs after completing this workshop.
