Independent Study: Training Video Programs

Satisfy your Independent Study Continuing Education requirements with WPS products

Step 1

Study a WPS test manual, training package, or handbook as you normally would in the course of your work.

Step 2

Purchase, complete, and submit the post-test materials for that manual, training package, or handbook.

Step 3

Receive your Certificate of Completion after passing the post-test.

Step 4

Submit your certificate to the appropriate licensing board, agency, or association for CE credit.

Independent Study: Training Video Programs

Training video programs are self-paced learning opportunities consisting of online videos and accompanying digital support materials on the WPS Professional Learning Center (WPS ProLearn®). Optional continuing education (CE) credits are sold separately.

Please note: Publication of training video DVDs for ADOS-2 (W-605DVD), ADOS-Toddler (W-606DVD), and ADI-R (W-382DVT) was discontinued in 2021. Previously purchased DVDs can still be used alongside independent study training video program CEs.

Independent Study Completion requirements

To receive CE credit, you must 1) pass a post-test, purchased and completed online on the WPS Professional Learning Center (WPS ProLearn) and 2) complete a post-course evaluation. A passing score is 75% or higher. If you do not pass on your first attempt, you will be allowed two opportunities to retake the post-test. If you do not pass after a total of three attempts, you will need to repurchase access to the materials. We recommend that you make a copy of your post-test answers for your records before submitting them to WPS for scoring. All Certificates of Completion will be provided electronically in the WPS ProLearn system. No partial credit will be awarded. Training video programs, CEs, and manuals are sold separately.

Agenda

The Independent Study courses are designed to be self-paced. You can start and stop as needed. Please contact WPS for a detailed course outline/timed agenda for the specific course in which you plan to enroll. 

Registration and Confirmation

Customers will purchase their course on the WPS website by adding selected item(s) to their cart and completing their transaction with a credit card. Customers who wish to pay with a purchase order will need to contact a representative at prolearn@wpspublish.com. Once payment is rendered, customers will receive a sales order confirmation email, followed by an email that contains the License Key link. Customers will click on the link to register on the WPS website or sign in if they have already registered. There, customers will be able to access course(s). Once registered, customers will receive a registration confirmation email.

Refund/Cancellation Policy and Late Registration/Transfer Fees

The independent study courses available through the WPS Professional Learning Center (WPS ProLearn) cannot be returned or transferred after they have been accessed. If you have not accessed the course and are not completely satisfied with anything purchased from WPS you may request a company credit or refund within 90 days of the invoice date unless otherwise specified in the product description. Please email prolearn@wpspublish.com for assistance.

APA Approved Sponsor

WPS is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. WPS maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

WPS is an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Approved Provider of continuing education (Provider #3111). The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.

NBCC

Western Psychological Services (WPS) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7646. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Western Psychological Services (WPS) is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

TOD Training Video Program

In Part I of this training program, you’ll observe test administration as portions of the TOD-Screener, TOD-Early, and TOD-Comprehensive are given to four students of varying ages. Assessment author Dr. Nancy Mather will guide you through all four case examples, providing relevant clinical and educational background information, illustrating how to analyze scores, and explaining the interpretive report. The course features embedded reflection questions to highlight key ideas. In Part II of this training program, you’ll practice scoring individual test items selected from the TOD-Early and TOD-Comprehensive assessments, using video case examples and a downloadable protocol. The course is designed to allow you as much practice as you need, and you can compare your scores to the examiner’s results for further learning. You’ll leave the program with a solid grasp of test administration and the scoring process.
