These new norm-referenced tests use full-color photographs to measure the breadth of an individual’s vocabulary and oral language development. Designed with simplicity and brevity in mind, the VAS-E and VAS-R can be used separately to measure Expressive or Receptive Vocabulary, or together for a more comprehensive look at oral language development.
Each test includes a Form A and an equivalent Form B for retesting, making it easy to identify progress over time. This is particularly valuable for use in school-based reading programs and rehabilitation or other medical settings where development is monitored. Since individuals respond by speaking, the VAS-E and VAS-R can be used with a variety of people, including those with reading, writing, or motor difficulties.
